Having a Ball isn't Enough

While I was reading my livejournal friends page, I happened across a post by my friend Akemi. She was relating a conversation she had with her guardian angel, Teliel, and to follow a request from him she posted everything she wants in an LJ cut.

It got me thinking about what I want, and I made an interesting realization.


I already have everything I want.

However...

What I want isn't more things. What I want is to enjoy all of the wonderful things I already have.

I found myself inspired to draw this piece, pouring all my emotions into it. As a result it looks godawful, but that's part of the 'art' of it, I guess.

It's me, sitting, despondant, with a ball across from me waiting to be played with. And yet, though I have the ball, I do not play.

It's because of this that I consider myself 'crazy' or 'broken'.
